Blackcurrant cordial anyone?

These summer holidays we harvested blackcurrants and made cordial! Delicious with water, fizzy water, or even on ice cream, yum!

It is so rewarding to pick the fruit yourselves and create something delicious. You can watch the fruit change in colour, texture, smell and flavour as it cooks and cools – and have some fun along the way.

With plenty of berries and stone fruit now in season, see what you can pick locally in your region and get stuck in. There are plenty of recipes online for cordials, jams, pickles, and sauces. As you can see, we re-used empty sauce and soda bottles - these, along with empty jam jars, are perfect for storing you home made creations, and helps to keep costs down too.
